The Team Behind Business Learning

Business Learning is run by a small, focused team with backgrounds in software engineering, digital marketplaces, and competitive gaming. Everyone on the team has personal experience trading skins, which keeps our product decisions grounded in real user needs. We value directness, technical rigor, and a long-term perspective over short-term metrics. Our team operates remotely across multiple time zones to keep the platform running and improving around the clock.

Marcus Veld

Co-Founder & CEO

Marcus spent six years building marketplace products at two e-commerce startups before co-founding Business Learning. He traded CS:GO skins competitively for three years and recognized the gap between what traders needed and what existing tools offered. He oversees product direction, partnerships, and long-term strategy.

Irina Sokolova

Co-Founder & CTO

Irina leads all engineering decisions and built the initial trading engine and price aggregation pipeline from the ground up. She has a background in distributed systems and previously worked on high-frequency data platforms in the fintech sector. Her focus is on platform reliability, latency reduction, and security architecture.

Devon Khalil

Head of Security

Devon manages all aspects of account protection, fraud detection, and third-party security assessments for the platform. He previously ran security operations for a mid-size gaming community with over 400,000 registered users. Devon is responsible for the zero-tolerance fraud policy and the dispute resolution process.

Lena Marchetti

Lead Product Designer

Lena shapes the visual language and interaction design of Business Learning, including the dark, gaming-focused aesthetic the platform is known for. She has designed interfaces for multiple Steam-adjacent tools and understands the visual expectations of the skin trading audience. Lena works closely with Marcus to translate trader feedback into usable interface improvements.

Tobias Renner

Data & Pricing Analyst

Tobias maintains the price tracking infrastructure and is responsible for the accuracy and freshness of market data across all three supported games. He monitors data source health continuously and develops the models used to normalize prices across regional marketplaces. His work directly determines the quality of pricing information every trader sees on the platform.
